The Galeon
“Ribbon” mahogany firebird, humbuckers, TruOil finish is slick and smooth like a baby’s bottom - custom ordered & headed to Canada.
The “Twins”; identical guitars; one six string, one 12 string made with ribbon mahogany, hot blade humbuckers, gloss finish, custom ordered.
Here is the Brahma guitar with a semi hollow body, tele style neck and lottsa graphics. The bridge pickup is an Invader clone (really hot) while the middle and neck are hot ceramic single coils. The gold metalflake sunburst makes this pop out in the crowd (as if the image and bottle cap knobs didn’t).
Here’s a different made to order guitar; a totally acoustic sold body electric shaped like the Dominican Republic (with Canadian flag ghosted in). Dominican mahogany body and neck (different trees, different colour). The fabulous acoustic tone is due to the LR Baggs X tremolo bridge - NO batteries or preamp required; has the same output as a stock stratocaster single coil. Here’s a flying vee not for the faint of heart; made from native mahogany tree root that took some wrangling to obtain - chambered which is unusual for a vee. A blonde laminate back closes it all in. The South American mahogany neck has a rosewood fretboard with faux MOP block markers. The pickups are cloned from Duncan Invaders - super duty hot! The hardware is gold while the input jack escutcheon is a 1890’s door bell trim ring. This will set the new owner apart from the mob for sure!
Roughneck guitar made for Mike Williams from a slab of ancient rough cut mahogany he dropped off ay my shop. It has a mahogany set neck taken from a wrecked acoustic guitar with new tuners. The pickup is one coil off a Godin humbucker (other coil was defunct), a compensated wrap tailpiece/bridge, a single volume control, and a solid brass (made in USA) Guitar Man rear cover plate. Strung up with coated Black Diamond .010s this guitar plays like a SOB with a miles of mojo.
